The Story
Lizzy Flynn, an Irish immigrant, arrives in 1880s America as a mail-order bride seeking a better life. When her husband-to-be is murdered on the eve of their wedding, Lizzy is forced to make her way across the frontier alone to stake claim to his land. She soon meets colorful frontierswoman and scout Calamity Jane, who reluctantly joins Lizzy on her quest. The two become unlikely friends as they navigate rough terrain, fight illness, rob a bank, and elude Black Irish, a bounty hunter sent to bring Lizzy back to Ireland for a crime she didn’t commit. Along the journey, Lizzy discovers her purpose and becomes a Wild West legend.
